1. In short
These terms apply when you use scramblerweekends.com or apply for, book or ride a Ducati Weekend Rides weekend. They are written in plain language. By applying you confirm that you have read them.
The short version: you apply, we check that the weekend is right for you, you pay a seat deposit, and you ride on a Ducati Scrambler with a small group, a ride lead and a backup vehicle. You ride at your own risk and within the rules below.
2. Who we are
Ducati Weekend Rides is operated by Big Motorcycle Private Limited, GSTIN 07AAGCB3839F1ZQ, registered at E-517, Fourth Floor, Palam Extension, Sector-7, Dwarka, Near Ramphal Chowk, New Delhi 110045, together with Travel with Samar, in partnership with Ducati India. In these terms, we, us and our mean Big Motorcycle Private Limited. You and rider mean the person who applies or books.
You can reach us at [Public contact email] or on WhatsApp at +91 98111 23133.
3. Applying and booking
Every rider applies first. Submitting the Apply form does not reserve a seat. Samar reads each application and may call you before offering a seat. We can decline an application, for example when the rider requirements below are not met or when a weekend is full.
A seat is confirmed only when we have sent you a private payment link, you have paid the seat deposit, and we have confirmed it in writing by email or WhatsApp. Seats are personal and cannot be transferred without our written agreement.
4. Price and payment
Weekends start at Rs 55,000 + GST per rider. The price listed for a weekend, and what it includes and does not include, is shown on that weekend page and in your booking confirmation. If the two ever differ, the booking confirmation applies.
A seat deposit of [Seat deposit] holds your place. The balance is due 21 days before the ride. If the balance is not paid on time, we may release the seat, and the cancellation and refunds policy applies.
Payments are made through a private link using an Indian payment gateway. We do not see or store your card details. GST is charged as applicable and shown on your invoice.
5. Rider requirements
For your safety and the safety of the group, every rider must:
- hold a valid motorcycle licence
- have ridden a motorcycle above 350cc (the Scrambler is an 803cc twin)
- bring their own certified gear: an armoured jacket and pants, gloves, ankle covering riding boots and a certified helmet
- be fit and comfortable riding long days in a group
- be 18 years of age or older
We check these on the Apply form, on the call, from the documents and gear photos you upload after paying the deposit, and on the morning of the ride. The seat stays provisional until your documents and gear photos are accepted.
A rider who does not meet the requirements, or who fails the ride morning gear check or riding check, does not ride. See the cancellation and refunds policy for what happens to payments in that case.
6. On the ride
The ride lead and sweep rider are in charge of the group. Riders must follow their instructions, the route plan, traffic law and local rules at all times.
Riders must not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, must not overtake the ride lead, and must keep to the agreed formation and pace. We may stop any rider from continuing, at any time, if we believe that rider is a risk to themselves or others. In that case no refund is due for unused days.
Routes, timings and stays can change because of weather, road conditions, safety or events outside our control. Where this happens we will use a comparable alternative.
7. Motorcycles, damage and insurance
Each rider is assigned a Ducati Scrambler for the weekend. Motorcycles are serviced before each weekend. You must ride the motorcycle responsibly and return it in the condition you received it, allowing for normal wear.
Damage caused by rider error, negligence or a breach of these terms is the rider’s responsibility. Any amount payable, and how it is calculated, is explained in your booking confirmation before you ride.
We strongly advise every rider to carry personal accident and medical cover for the weekend. Riding a motorcycle carries a real risk of injury.
8. Changes and cancellation
If we cancel, postpone or materially change a weekend, or you cancel your seat, the cancellation and refunds policy applies. It is part of these terms.
9. Photos and film
We photograph and film every weekend. You receive your photos. By riding you allow us to use photos and film of the weekend, including you, on this website, on social media and in advertising, unless you tell us in the rider dossier that you want to be kept out. You can withdraw this later for future use by writing to [Public contact email].
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, and to the rider waiver you sign before riding, we are not liable for loss, injury or damage that results from the ordinary risks of motorcycle riding, from your own actions, or from events outside our reasonable control, such as weather, landslides, road closures, strikes or government orders.
Our total liability for any claim connected with a weekend is limited to the amount you paid us for that weekend, except where the law does not allow this limit.
11. This website
The text, photos, logos and design on this website belong to us or are used with permission of their owners. Ducati and Scrambler Ducati names and logos belong to Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. and are used here with the permission of Ducati India. You may not copy or reuse this material without written permission. See also the disclaimer.
We try to keep the website accurate but dates, seats and prices can change. The weekend page and your booking confirmation are the final word.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a problem comes up, please write to us first at [Public contact email]; most issues are settled quickly that way. If we cannot settle it, the courts at the city of our registered address have jurisdiction, as far as the law allows.
