Rider waiver

1. In short

Riding a motorcycle can cause serious injury or death. Before you ride with us you read and sign this waiver. It records that you understand the risks, that you accept them, and what you and we are each responsible for.

You sign it in your rider dossier after paying the seat deposit. Please read it properly and ask us anything that is unclear before you sign.

2. Assumption of risk

I understand that riding a motorcycle, including on mountain, desert and highway roads and in changing weather, carries risks. These include falls and collisions, other traffic, animals, loose surfaces, altitude, fatigue, breakdowns and delays in reaching medical help. I accept these risks as part of choosing to ride.

3. Release of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I release Big Motorcycle Private Limited, Travel with Samar, their directors, staff, ride leads, partners and suppliers from claims for injury, death, loss or damage that arise from the ordinary risks of riding or from my own actions or decisions.

This does not release anyone from responsibility for their own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything the law does not allow to be released.

4. Gear and fitness

I confirm that:

• I hold a valid motorcycle licence and have ridden a motorcycle above 350cc
• I will ride in my own certified gear: armoured jacket and pants, gloves, ankle covering boots and a certified helmet, and I will wear it whenever I ride
• I am fit to ride, I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and I have told the team about any medical condition that matters for my safety
• the information and documents I give are true

I accept that I may be stopped from riding at any time if the ride lead believes I am a risk to myself or others.

5. Photos and video

I choose, in the rider dossier, whether the team may use photos and film of me from the weekend on the website, social media and advertising, or whether I want to be kept out. I can change my choice for future use by writing to [Public contact email].

6. Signing

I sign this waiver freely and electronically in my rider dossier. My typed or drawn signature has the same effect as a signature on paper. I have had the chance to read it and ask questions, and I understand it.

If anyone needs to rely on this waiver, it is governed by the laws of India.
